About us

I am an asylum seeker living in Paris with my family. My son recently started school in France and is motivated to learn, but he is struggling because he does not yet speak French well. This mission is about helping my son learn basic French so he can feel more confident at school, make friends, and better integrate into daily life in France.

About you

We are looking for a volunteer who is patient, kind, and comfortable working with children. No teaching experience is required, but it is important that the volunteer speaks French fluently and can explain things simply. Understanding, encouragement, and a respectful attitude toward our family and culture are very important.

About the mission

The volunteer will spend time with my son helping him practice basic French through conversation, reading, simple exercises, and games. The goal is to support what he is learning at school and help him gain confidence speaking French. Sessions would be relaxed and adapted to his level. I or another family member will always be present during the sessions.

The mission is organized by Ahmad Rahimi, the child’s father. I will welcome the volunteer, explain my son’s current level and needs, and be present to help with communication if needed. I am very grateful for any support and will do my best to make the volunteer feel comfortable and appreciated.
