About us

At Solidarité Vêtements Paris our mission is to provide clean, warm, and dignified clothing to refugees and asylum seekers living in and around Paris. We believe that access to appropriate clothing is a basic need and an important first step toward dignity, confidence, and integration. Through donations and volunteer support, we help people feel seen, respected, and supported during a very difficult period of their lives.

About you

We are looking for volunteers who are kind, respectful, and reliable. No prior experience is required, but patience and empathy are essential. Volunteers should feel comfortable working in a team and interacting with people from different cultural backgrounds. A basic level of French or English is helpful, but not mandatory.

About the mission

On the day of the mission, volunteers will help sort and organize donated clothing by type, size, and season. Some volunteers may assist during clothing distribution, welcoming refugees, helping them find suitable items, and keeping the space organized. The work is hands-on but not physically demanding, and guidance will be provided throughout the day. Breaks are included, and the atmosphere is friendly and supportive.

The mission will be organized by Claire Dubois, volunteer coordinator at Solidarité Vêtements Paris. Claire has been working with refugee support organizations for over five years and will be present on-site to welcome volunteers, explain tasks, and answer any questions throughout the day. Her goal is to ensure that both volunteers and beneficiaries feel comfortable, supported, and valued.
